Bent Rods Bass Club Tournaments are for guys or gals that love bass fishing and want to have fun in laid back, low pressure bass tournaments. We allow any size boat, canoe or kayak, but we limit the propulsion to electric motors, rowing or flippers. We also use a catch photo release system, so no livewell needed. Our tournaments are usually from sunrise to noon-ish.
“MelvisBass” and “Buster” started Bent Rods in 2011 after a post on a local fishing forum. After a few emails back and forth about starting a small boat Bass Club, they had a meeting at the Fox Valley Hooters and Bent Rods Bass Club was born.
At first we tried to model ourselves similar to a standard club, but it quickly became apparent that the live well requirement left out quite a few people, so we came up with the Catch – Photo – Release system we are currently using. Every team must use an approved bump board for tournaments.
Membership is $35 per year if dues are paid before March 31st and $45 after (no refunds on dues), all tournaments will be for members only.
